Sunnyvale House is a charming, large Victorian Villa, located in the renowned West-Cliff area ofWhitby, just 500 meters away from Whitby Beach and harbour. This spacious, family-sized holiday retreat features 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms to cater for all guests during your stay. Featuring a spacious, well-equipt kitchen and a dining room with space for everyone at the table. The family lounge has soft and comfortable seating as well as Television; if you have time to watch it. 

There’s a Second Sitting room if you’re looking for some quiet time, or let the kids take-over and have it as a games-room. There really is enough space for everyone.

With the town featuring an abundance of markets, famous chip shops, tourist attractions, historical landmarks and pubs, there’s a local attraction less than 500 meters walk away.

Sunnyvale House is over four floors with a kitchen with range cooker, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, dining room with seating for fourteen guests, a sitting room with Smart TV, garden room, and cloakroom.

On the first floor, there are two double bedroms, both en-suite shower rooms. There's a master room with large Super-King, which can be configured as twins, plus a house shower room.

On the floor above, you'll find another Super-King room,  as well as a double en-suite and a large family bathroom.

On the top floor, you'll find two double en-suite rooms.

There's an enclosed rear garden with furniture, large hot tub. restricted on-street Parking is available and we do provide permits.

 

You'll find everything you'd need for your stay within striking distance, from a local pub, restaurant or supermarket.

Bed linen and towels are all included in the price and you'll find them all fresh when you check-in.

The property is set over four floors and may not be suitable for guests with lower mobility.

The seaside town and port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk in the Scarborough district of North Yorkshire. Ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire, the local area hosts an array of activities so you can be sure to get the best out of both the countryside and the coast. From the nearby North York Moors to its Blue Flag beaches, there’s something here for everyone. Amongst its many attractions, Whitby holds a charming atmosphere, home to winding streets and hidden alleys, where you can find a wide selection of eateries and shops scattered amongst them. Take a trip to the picturesque harbour and lighthouse to watch the sun set or get involved in some whale watching or a coastal cruise to watch the creatures up close. Climb the famous 199 steps to the Whitby Abbey to immerse yourself with history, or visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum presenting historical and ethnographic exhibition about Cook himself. Close to the Robin Hood’s Bay, rich in heritage, wonders and scenic spots, and in easy reach of the bustling towns of Scarborough and Middlesbrough, Whitby is a prime location for exploring all of the delights that Yorkshire has to offer.

We do welcome well-behaved dogs. We charge £20 per dog per booking. 

You will be given access to the key box on the day of check-in. Check-in is usually 16:00 unless special arrangements have been made.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £300. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

Whitby is a dream destination for families, offering a perfect mix of outdoor adventure on the coastline, beach fun and fossil hunting. At the heart of it all is the famous Whitby Town Centre. Ideal for rock pooling and paddling in the shallows. 

With shops and markets, there really is everything from the weird to the wonderful in store. Old fashioned sweet shops, locally caught seafood you can see being lifted from the boats, and not to mention the famous Whitby Lobster.

Whitby is famed for it’s link with horror literature and you’ll find no end of interesting and gothic town. The Abbey is just a short walk and 199 steps away and of course you have two very famous fish restaurants. (Check out the blogs for ideas of things to do).

Just a short drive away, you’ll find famous beaches like Saltburn or Filey, which offer even more opportunities for seaside fun, along with family-friendly cafes and beach shops. Whitby is a favourite among younger visitors, with much to keep them entertained.
